DWS, Montreal, Day 1: China and Korea synchro pairs take gold on first day

Women's 10m Synchro Platform

Synchro partners Kim Mi Rae and Jo Jin Mi of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea won their first gold medals in the 2019 FINA/CHSG Diving World Series in Montreal (CAN) tonight, scoring 329.70 points in the women's 10m Synchro Platform. 

In the two previous editions held in March Kim Mi Rae was paired with Kim A Rim and their duet managed to earn a silver medal in each. The Korean pair scored 319.50 points in Sagamiahara (JPN) and 325.80 points in Beijing's Olympic Water Cube behind the Chinese champions.

World's best divers looking forward to competing in FINA/CNSG Diving World Series in Montreal

Eighty-five of the world's best divers have arrived in Montreal for the third leg of a total five FINA/CNSG Diving World Series events.

Prior editions in Sagamihrara, Japan (87 divers) and Beijing, China (67) tested the athletes who have arrived in Canada earlier this week to compete head-to-head to win more medals and prize money.

Divers from 14 nations will earn ranking points at the Canadian edition of FINA's world-renowned event.

PR 18– DWS 2019: Team China imposes itself in Beijing

Team China excelled at the second meet of the FINA/CNSG Diving World Series 2019 in Beijing (CHN) which was staged at the Olympic venue, the Water Cube, from Thursday March 7-Saturday March 9.

The home squad claimed the top honours in every single event of the leg, and grabbed ten gold medals in total.

DWS, Day 3, Beijing: China repeat winning feat to sweep all gold medals

Chinese divers satisfied the crazy home crowds at the Water Cube as Zhang Jiaqi, Yang Jian and Si Yajie/Lian Junjie wrapped the last three gold medals to complete a clean sweep with 10 titles on offer at the FINA/CNSG Diving World Series which concluded in Beijing (CHN) on Saturday March 9.

DWS, Day 2, Beijing: Diving queen Shi Tingmao suffers rare upset while Cao claims third title

Olympic and World champion Shi Tingmao of China suffered a rare upset in her favorite 3m springboard while Cao Yuan celebrated his third title at the FINA/CNSG Diving World Series 2019 in Beijing (CHN) on Friday March 8.

Shi, unbeaten since 2013 in both the national and international meets, started 1.5 point lower than her long-time friend and new synchro partner Wang Han (CHN) for her first dive, and accumulated the gap little by little after each round. Shi finally collected 367.00 point, 10.40 behind Wang. Jennifer Abel of Canada finished third (332.70).

DWS, Day 1, Beijing: China takes four synchro golds at second FINA Diving World Series leg

China dominated the first day of the FINA/CNSG Diving World Series 2019 as the hosts divers took four synchro titles on offer while Olympic champion Cao Yuan became the first double winner in Beijing on Thursday March 7.

Cao Yuan/Chen Aisen of China topped the men's 10m synchro platform as they scored 494.55, beating Aleksandr Bondar/Viktor Minibaev of Russia (425.67) and Domonic Bedggood/Declan Stacey of Australia (411.00). Thomas Daley/Matthew Lee of Great Britain finished fourth (400.86).
