Beijing ready to host second Diving World Series leg

National heroes and Olympic champions Shi Tingmao, Cao Yuan and British stars Thomas Daley and Jack Laugher will lead a total a group of 78 divers from 14 countries ready to compete at the second leg of the FINA/CNSG Diving World Series, from March 7-9.

The Beijing Water Cube is hosting this last major competition before it is transformed into the Ice Cube, the venue that will stage the Beijing 2022 Olympic Games curling competition.

DWS, Day 3, Sagamihara: “Grand finale” for China

After seven consecutive gold medals on day 1 and 2, the Chinese technique was again key in the last day of the first leg of the FINA/CNSG Diving World Series, organised in Sagamihara (JPN), from March 1-3, 2019. The last three finals of the programme were once more won by representatives of the Asian powerhouse, who simply delighted the spectators on site.

DWS, Day 1, Sagamihara: China earns all four gold medals on offer

The first day of the opening leg of FINA/CNSG Diving World Series 2019 in Sagamihara (JPN) displayed an outstanding domination from the Chinese team, with the Asian powerhouse pocketing all the four gold medals at stake.

In the women’s 10m platform synchro, 14-year-old Zhang Jiaqi, who is the gold medallist in the same event at the 2018 Asian Games, paired with Lu Wei for China’s first success, earning gold in 340.44 points.

DWS 2019: Athletes look forward to competing in Sagamihara (JPN)

Before the official start of the first leg of the FINA/CNSG Diving World Series in Sagamihara (JPN), on March 1, 2019 the opening Press Conference of the event took place today, with the presence of several diving stars and the FINA representatives in the competition.

Jennifer Abel from Canada, Cao Yuan and Shi Tingmao from China, Jack Laugher from Great Britain and four Japanese competitors (Ken Terauchi, Sho Sakai, Minami Itahashi and Rin Kaneto) provided their impressions on the Japanese leg and spoke about their perspectives for the 2019 season.
