DWS 2019: Athletes look forward to competing in Sagamihara (JPN)

Before the official start of the first leg of the FINA/CNSG Diving World Series in Sagamihara (JPN), on March 1, 2019 the opening Press Conference of the event took place today, with the presence of several diving stars and the FINA representatives in the competition.

Jennifer Abel from Canada, Cao Yuan and Shi Tingmao from China, Jack Laugher from Great Britain and four Japanese competitors (Ken Terauchi, Sho Sakai, Minami Itahashi and Rin Kaneto) provided their impressions on the Japanese leg and spoke about their perspectives for the 2019 season.

ASWS 2019: Lisa Schott: “FINA is investing in artistic swimming”

While the medal distribution at the first leg of the FINA Artistic Swimming World Series 2019 is hard to predict, the Paris meet is looking promising and will certainly be full of surprises.

The Technical Meeting was held this morning at the Maurice Thorez Aquatic Stadium as last minute preparations are in full swing.

French Swimming Federation (FFN) Artistic Swimming Director Sylvie Neuville welcomed the teams and the delegates to the meeting.

Gwangju 2019 site visit underway

FINA leadership are currently in Gwangju, South Korea, to review and assess the preparations to the upcoming 18th FINA World Championships, to be held from July 12-28.

The FINA delegation, led by FINA Executive Director Mr. Cornel Marculescu and FINA Facility Committee Chairman Mr. Joaquin Pujol, has been on a visit of Gwangju since Monday February 25 to check on the advancement of the five venues for the World Championships and to discuss final preparations.

PR 12 - Artistic Swimming World Series: 190 athletes, 25 nations to perform in Paris

The FINA Artistic Swimming World Series 2019, to be staged from February to June, kicks-off in Paris (FRA) on Thursday February 28, integrating the famous and prestigious 9th edition of the French Open at the Aquatic Centre Maurice Thorez (50m indoor pool).
